Calanus finmarchicus is a small crustacean that lives in vast numbers in the Norwegian Sea, far down the marine food chain. This is precisely why the population is large and the harvest is sustainable; only a very small proportion of the natural population is harvested. The oil has a natural ruby-red colour from astaxanthin and contains omega-3 fatty acids in the wax ester form, which is the plankton’s own natural form. The capsules are supplemented with natural vitamin D3. The catch is regulated by quotas and accounts for only a fraction of the natural population, so that harvesting does not affect the marine food chain.

How to take Omega 3
